Rooms are reasonably priced and exceptionally clean with the shower, separate wash basin, a bathroom with a separate area from the shower, food is great. The location is favourable, 1 mile from Pony Express Museum.

I recently stayed at the Surf Motel for a visit to see my son. The room was clean with fresh paint and new carpet. I appreciated that there was no unpleasant odor. Although the furniture was outdated, the overall value for the money was fair. The location was convenient, being only a 2 1/2 hour drive from my home. Mrs. at the front desk was helpful and patient with my questions. The motel is undergoing renovations, and my room had new carpet and other updates, making it comparable to newer budget hotels. The proximity to the highway did not result in excessive noise.

We had a great experience at Surf Motel. Despite a power outage during our visit, the motel staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. They allowed me to work in their breakfast room while my wife checked us in. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was also good, providing a great start to our day. we had a very pleasant stay at Surf Motel.

The staff here were really friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed; the location is great, just a short walk from the Pony Express Museum.

Room had a large size, separate bathroom and washbasin, plenty of electrical outlets, and a mini-fridge and microwave. Curtains darkened the room well at night. a comfortable stay.

Really enjoyed our stay over New Year's Eve. the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, even offering us some complimentary breakfast and wifi! the location was great, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby - we were never bored. Also appreciated the comfortable beds, a must for a good night's sleep.

Our room was quite small and cramped, which was a bit of a downside. the heating system seemed to be quite old and it was difficult to control the temperature.

Had a great city break experience with my family recently. Hotel was well-maintained and had the amenities we needed. Enjoyed the breakfast selection of cereals, juice, coffee, sweet rolls, toast and waffles with plenty of syrup. The location was perfect, close to all the key attractions that we wanted to explore. Another advantage was the friendly staff - we were greeted warmly during check-in and the front desk staff were just as friendly in the morning.

We did not appreciate the rude behavior of the general manager during our stay. He had a very unpleasant attitude and we witnessed him arguing with his wife in front of other guests.

The hotel is in a great location with a Walmart down the street, several restaurants nearby and across from a convenient store. Rooms are spacious, clean and have microwaves and refrigerators, perfect for families. Staff is welcoming and helpful, and the continental breakfast has a lot of options. Guests can enjoy a nice sunrise view from some of the rooms.

The lighting in the rooms is poor, making it hard to read or work on a computer.
